DOWN COMES THE SCAFFOLDING

Progress on the Kiaora Lands (Woollies) Development became clear a few days ago when scaffolding was taken down to give the first glimpses of the new buildings.

Looks like the development is on track for completion of stage one in the third quarter of 2014.

The project is designed to revitalise Double Bay with plans to redevelop the existing Woolworths site on New South Head Road, Council's Kiaora Lane and Anderson Street car parks and a number of properties in Kiaora Road and Patterson Street.

The development will include new retail shops, Woolworths supermarket and grocery stores, cafes and speciality shops. It will also include a 2,300 square metre new Double Bay Library, giving residents access to state-of-the-art facilities. These businesses will all be supported by a new car park that will provide a total of 442 public parking spaces.
