"APPY HOUR" NUMBER 3 A GREAT SUCCESS

Discover Double Bay's 3rd get together proved to be a great success with over 60 people in attendance and a great cast of speakers.

MC Luke Redmond did a great job of keeping things moving and presentations were made by Brian O'Dowd (Urban development to brighten the face of Double Bay), David Baumgarten (Free business development & management advice), Tanya Lee (The Corrilee Foundation and the work they do for small charities) and Jennifer Kennedy (on her vision for Double Bay as The Centre for Outstanding Weddings)

Visitors attending came from as far afield as Newcastle, but most a little closer including Maroubra, Five Dock, Randwick and Bondi Junction. This is great, and in line with the objectives of Discover Double Bay which are to:-
  • Build Bridges between people and organisations (of all sorts and from everywhere)
  • Help people bring their ideas to life
  • Help charities raise awareness of their activities and the causes they support.

Following soon will be images of the event and a list of all people who attended (if they put their cards in the hat)

The next event will be on Tuesday 13th May from 5.30-8.00pm at the 18 Footers Club Double Bay. Claire Coppins owner of TIGHTTIGERS is scheduled to speak on why she chose Double Bay as the venue for her flagship store.

To book google "Appy Hour Double Bay" and use the eventbrite.com link to book a place. Entrance is free to members and just $15 per session for non-members and includes light snacks and facilities to help attendees keep in touch with the people they meet.
